The Route nationale 426 , or N 426 or RN 426 for short , was a French national road that ran from Le Hohwald to the banks of the Rhine from 1933 to 1973 and from 1967 over a bridge to the German border. This bridge was replaced in 1985 by a new building about two kilometers further south.

The Route nationale 426 A , N 426 A or RN 426 A for short , was a side branch of the N 426, which branched off from this and led to the summit of Mount Sainte Odile , where it ended as a dead end. In 1973 the approximately one kilometer long road was downgraded to Départementstrasse 526.
N 426b
The Route nationale 426 B , or N 426 B or RN 426 B for short , was a branch of the N 426 in the village of Niedernai . In 1973 the approximately 200-meter-long road was downgraded to a municipal road.
