The Route nationale 412 , or N 412 or RN 412 for short , was a French national road .

The road ran for 17 miles from Woippy to Thionville . Introduced in 1933, it was split up in 1973 into national  roads 52 and  53 , giving them new endpoints. For eight years, from 1978 to 1986, the name for a 13-kilometer declassified section of national road 12 through Saint-Brieuc appeared, today it is known as RNIL ( Route nationale d'intérêt local ) in Saint-Denis near Paris .
