The Route nationale 340 , or N 340 or RN 340 for short , was a French national road that was established in 1933 between Hesdin and the N41 near Ligny-sur-Canche. In 1973 the 20 kilometer long road was graded. The number was used again in 1998 for an expressway from Haguenau to the A340. This road was downgraded to the D1340 in 2006.
