The Route nationale 28 , shortly N 28 or RN28 , was a French national road , which from 1824 to 1973 between Rouen and Saint-Omer went. This goes back to the route impériale 31. Their length was 181 kilometers. In 1933 it was extended to the N16 south of Bergues. The length increased to 208 kilometers. In 1973 it was shortened on the section Rouen - Abbeville . On this section it was partially relocated to the new expressway, which today forms the A28. The old parallel sections became N2028, which were downgraded in 2006. Since 2006 there has only been an N28 between Rouen and the A28.

N28a

The N28 ^A was a side branch of the N28 from 1933 to 1973, which branched off from this in Foucarmont and ran to the N320 within the village. He now has the number D928 ^A .

N28b

The N28 ^B was a branch of the N28 from 1956 to 1973, which ran within Rouen and connected several national roads. In 1978 it became part of the N28 and in 2006 it was graduated.

N2028

The N2028 is a side branch of the N28, which was first used in 1992 between Blangy-sur-Bresle and Rouen on the route of the N28 when it was moved to a parallel expressway, now the A28. Since 2006 there is only a remnant piece in the urban area of Rouen.
