The Route nationale 356 , or N 356 or RN 356 for short , is a French national road that was first established in 1933. It led over a distance of 36 kilometers to Bapaume. In the 1990s the number was used again for an expressway between Lille-Fives and Roubaix. Except for the section between the A1 and A22, this was downgraded to Départementstrasse 656 in 2006.
