The N87 was a French national road established in 1824 between Remoulins and the N9 north of Pézenas. It goes back to the route impériale 105. Their length was 117 kilometers. In 1949 it was split between the N86 and N113. Since 1978, the number for the southern bypass of Grenoble (1968–1978 as U2) has been used. It connects the A41 with the western bypass, which as the A480 connects the A48 and A51.
