The N579 was a French national road from 1933 to 1973 that ran in two parts between Saint-Étienne-de-Fontbellon and Le Grau-du-Roi. Their total length was 139.5 kilometers. The section between Uzès and Nîmes was the Gc31 of the Gard department until 1933.

The N579 A was a side branch of the N579 from 1968 to 1973, which branched off north of Aimargues and served as a feeder for the N579 and N113 to the A9. In 1978 the street was renumbered to N313 and since 2006 it has been the D6313.
