The Route nationale 649 , or N 649 or RN 649 for short , was a French national road .

It was added to the national road network from 1933 and ran between the intersection with the former national road 626 southeast of Sabers and an intersection with the no longer existing national road 124 to Grenade-sur-l'Adour. Their length was 46 kilometers.

In 1978 the section north of Mont-de-Marsan was rededicated as national road 134 and the south section as national road 124 . The national road has been graded since 2006. To the north of Mont-de-Marsan, the original tour is interrupted by a military airfield .
