The N621 was a French national road from 1933 to 1973 that ran between Toulouse and Mazamet. Their length was 82 kilometers. In 1973 the section between Toulouse and Soual was integrated into the new route of the N126. Furthermore, around 2000 with the commissioning of the Castres southern bypass, the section between the confluence of the bypass east of Labrugière and Mazamet to the national road with the number 112 was upgraded the D42 (Tarn) and D20 (Haute-Garonne), as well as the N126 to the A680 motorway are to be expanded.
