The N531 was a French national road from 1933 to 1973 that ran between Bourg-de-Péage and Grenoble. Their length was 84 kilometers. In 1978 the N532 took over the sections between Bourg-de-Péage and the junction with the N532 west of Pont-en-Royans, and between Sassenage and Fontaine.
