The Route Nationale 28 , short- N 28 is a Luxembourg national road and extends over a length of 10.7 km almost parallel to the national road 2 between the locations Sandweiler and Bous . Due to the tight, tree-lined curve radii, very narrow profile and numerous depressions and hills, the N 28 is closed to trucks over 7.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight. It is therefore used by many commuters as an N 2 substitute route, so that there is very heavy traffic during rush hour .
The N 28 begins at the Sandweiler roundabout (the N 2 also runs through the roundabout), passes the Schrassig prison in the direction of Oetringen . There the N 28 crosses the CR 132 and then runs together with the CR 144 for a few hundred meters before it branches off in the direction of Bous.
The end of the N 28 joins the N 2 again in Bous.
