The Route nationale 2 (German: Nationalstraße 2 ), N2 for short , is a national road in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and is part of the European Route 29 . It was the most important connection in the direction of Saarland until the A 13 was commissioned .

The N2 begins in the Gare district of Luxembourg and runs through the Verlorenkost and Hamm districts. At the level of the Maze roundabout , it runs along the grounds of Luxembourg -Findel Airport.

The N2 runs from the municipality of Sandweiler in an easterly direction to the Moselle border town of Remich .

The B 406 follows on the German side of the Moselle .

N2a

The N2a is a link between the national roads 2 and 1A . It runs from the " Robert Schaffner " roundabout at exit 7 of the A1 to "Rue Cents" and is east of Luxembourg Airport .
