The canton of Remich is the second smallest canton in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in terms of area . It is located in the extreme southeast of the country and borders the canton Grevenmacher in the north, the German states Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland in the east, the French region Grand Est in the south and the cantons Esch an der Alzette and Luxembourg in the west .

Until the abolition of the Luxembourg districts on October 3, 2015, the canton belonged to the Grevenmacher district .
