Courgoul is located about 32 kilometers south-southwest of Clermont-Ferrand in Limagne . Courgoul is surrounded by the neighboring communities Saurier in the north, Saint-Floret in the east and northeast, Chassagne in the south and east, Valbeleix in the southwest and Saint-Diéry in the west and northwest.
