The ARD-Ratgeber was a consumer magazine produced from 1971 to 2014 by the various TV stations of the ARD for the joint program Das Erste . The consumer magazine was divided into various subject areas and focuses. The first advisors were technology , money , health and law . Later there were cars and traffic , building and living , school and work , home and garden , food and drink , fashion , travel and the Internet . On August 24, 2014, the advisors were finally discontinued after more than 40 years. Since August 25, 2014, Das Erste has been broadcasting new advice formats every Monday at 8:15 p.m. under the title Monday-Check in Erste .
The various ARD advisors ran on the weekend alternately on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

The guide: Technology was the oldest show in the series and, according to the producing NDR, the most awarded consumer magazine in the world. The first moderator was Lea Rosh . The Guide: Technology was broadcast for the last time in the form of a special on September 24, 2011; the advisor: Internet took over the broadcasting slot.
In July 2012 the home + garden and building + living guides were combined into the guide: house + garden , and the car + traffic and travel guide to the guide: car - travel - traffic .
In February 2017, advice house & garden was displayed in the title protection gazette issue no .: 1313 - week: 8 - year: 2017.
Broadcasts on the Internet
After broadcasting, the advisory programs were available for free 365 days in the Erste's media library as video-on-demand .
