Michael Sontheimer
Michael Sontheimer (born February 17, 1955 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German historian and journalist .
After studying history , political science and journalism at the Free University of Berlin , he founded the alternative daily newspaper together with others in 1979 . In 1984 he became editor, later an author at Die Zeit , from 1992 to 1994 editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper and then editor, correspondent and author at Spiegel . Sontheimer has been a member of the board of trustees of the taz Panter Foundation since 2007 . Michael Sontheimer is the son of the political scientist Kurt Sontheimer .
