Werner Koczwara (born September 28, 1957 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) is a German cabaret artist .

Career

After graduating from high school in 1977 he studied German language and literature for four days in Konstanz, two semesters in economics in Freiburg in 1978 and American studies, politics and journalism in Munich and Berlin from 1979 to 1985 . In 1984 he first entered the satirical landscape at the SFB with a short sketch and established himself on the radio. From 1986 Werner Koczwara became known and loved by a wide audience through repeated guest appearances in Dieter Hildebrandts windshield wiper . He soon made a name for himself as a satirist. In 1989 he received the Salzburg Bull Cabaret Prize and was awarded the Silver Rose of Montreux for the radio satire "Euradio" (WDR) . In 1991 Koczwara received the Garching Cabaret Mask Audience Award . In 2001 he was awarded the Ravensburger Kupferle . In 2007 he performed in the Munich Philharmonic in Gasteig at the Ash Wednesday of the cabaret artists . Koczwara has been a frequent guest in the satirical programs Ottis Schlachthof , Mitternachtsspitzen , “Friends in the Mäulesmühle” (SWR) and Spätschicht - Die Comedy Bühne . In 2017 Koczwara received the Baden-Württemberg Cabaret Prize .

Justice cabaret

Koczwara's programs created a new branch of cabaret under the term “judicial cabaret”, which deals extensively with the aberrations, the background and the absurdities of law. In 2013 he published a book entitled “One flew over the regulatory office - madness and wit in the judiciary” in Heyne Verlag . Koczwara has appeared in the Federal Constitutional Court (2001), the Federal Prosecutor's Office in Karlsruhe (2015) and at various legal congresses.
