Hallervordens Spott-Light was a political cabaret show by and with Dieter Hallervorden , which was broadcast in over 100 episodes from 1994 to 2003 on the television program Das Erste . It was produced by Hallervordens Halliwood Film in collaboration with the SFB .

Content and effect

In the program, events of current relevance were caricatured with exaggerated depictions. Between the performances, the topic was usually introduced by Hallervorden in monologues. The skits were usually structured in such a way that Dieter Hallervorden represented a thesis that was then questioned by another actor (on behalf of the audience and the audience). At the end of the sketch there was usually a final punch line in which all the actors looked either puzzled or experienced (mostly Hallervorden) into the camera.

This followed Hallervorden ridicule Light from 1992 at Sat.1 sent mockery show . With the cabaret show, Hallervorden tried to get rid of the stupid image that was widely known through shows such as Nonstop Nonsense. At the beginning (1994) Spott-Light had a higher audience rate than the daily topics broadcast afterwards . The rate then fell, but remained relatively high.
