Wilfried Herbst

Wilfried Herbst (born April 4, 1935 in Berlin ) is a German actor , cabaret artist and voice actor .

life and work

In 1960, together with Dieter Hallervorden, Herbst founded the cabaret Die Wühlmäuse . From 1963 he was a member of the cabaret Die Stachelschweine for almost 20 years . He is also a stage actor and can be seen on television from time to time. In the television series Die Camper ( RTL ) he played the groundskeeper Adalbert Pröter from the second episode to the end of the series .

As a busy voice actor, Wilfried Herbst is familiar to a large audience primarily through his voice. He is the standard voice of Charles Hawtrey in the Carry-on… film series and of Morten Grunwald in the films about Die Olsen-Gang in the ZDF synchronization of Deutsche Synchron . He has also dubbed Rowan Atkinson on various occasions, including in Four Weddings and a Funeral and in the series Inspector Fowler . He also lends his voice to Max Grodénchik as Ferengi Rom in the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine .

Herbst is also a popular performer in radio play productions with its distinctive organ. He speaks to Secretary Pichler in the children's radio plays about Benjamin Blümchen and Bibi Blocksberg . As the on-board computer Mimo , he can be heard in many episodes of the Jan Tenner radio play series. Just like Slimer in The Real Ghostbusters . He also voiced director Prickly on Disney's Big Break from 1997 to 2001 . Herbst retired in March 2020.

Wilfried Herbst is the brother of the late cabaret artist Jo Herbst .
