It's crazy - these tight policemen ( no crooked thing can shake us either ) is the fourth film in the series of carry-on ... films .
content
Chaos at a London police station. Most of the constables are sick. A replacement is needed and will be found at the police school. Three virgin recruits are posted there. Charlie Constable is a fearful, superstitious drunk, Tom Potter is an aristocratic braggart who goes after every skirt, and Stanley Benson is an overzealous science fanatic who believes that you can tell criminals by how people look. This is joined by the temporary cop Timothy Gorse, a somewhat clumsy fool.
And as if that weren't enough for Operations Manager Frank Wilkins, the head of the watch, Inspector Mills, is on his ears with his constant nagging. He only gets help from his assistant Laura Moon. The three newcomers and Gorse rush into the mission full of hard work, but cause more disasters than they prevent, mostly through their goodwill. But of course the four get their big chance in the final ...
Remarks
In the fourth part of the Carry-on ... series, the elaboration of the figures (apart from those of Sidney James and Hattie Jacques ) is now almost complete.
What is fascinating about this lovable, over-the-top and old-fashioned fun is that you are diving into a completely unknown world from a bygone era. Where can you still find police officers in the western world who live in their police station and are on duty almost around the clock?
