A totally crazy vacation (also: Carry On: A totally crazy vacation ) is the 24th film in the series of carry-on… films .

content

A group of British tourists are on vacation in Spain . Bar owner Vic Flange is an experienced vacationer, knows half the world. Vic actually wanted to go on vacation with his hot employee Sadie Tomkins this year - but when his wife notices this, she goes with him too. At the start of the journey, you will meet the other participants in the journey. Led by the tour guide Stuart Farquhar, there are the older mother's son Eustace Tuttle, the Blunt couple, the monks Brother Bernard and Brother Martin, the very convinced playboy Bert Conway and the two young women Lily and Marge.

When you arrive at the hotel, which is run by the manager Pepe, his wife Floella and their lazy son, everyone is amazed. The promised beautiful surroundings are under construction, and the hotel is still a few floors missing. Some of the cupboards have no back walls or floors, sand comes out of the taps, and various panes are missing in the doors and windows. But the vacationers don't let that spoil their vacation.

Remarks

For the second time after Das Total Crazy Camping Paradise , the carry-ons are on vacation. This time, however, they leave their island and go to the holiday dream of Spain. Of course, this will be a nightmare .

The 23rd film is a kind of turning point. It is the last film with Charles Hawtrey at all, also the last (of five) carry-on ... with Amelia Bayntun , who plays his mother. Ironically, she was five years younger than Hawtrey in real life. Apart from Jim Dale and Terry Scott , most of the regular stars make their appearances here: Joan Sims , Kenneth Williams , Barbara Windsor , Peter Butterworth , Kenneth Connor , Hattie Jacques , Bernard Bresslaw , Patsy Rowlands , Sidney James , Jack Douglas and Charles Hawtrey. There is only one more in the predecessor The Totally Crazy Head Sister . And as a farewell present for Charles Hawtrey, everyone is doing their best once again and is in a wonderful playful mood and gives one of the last wonderful performances before the series' demise.

Since you knew “ sex sells ” and you really wanted to prevent another flop like the one with its predecessor, a strike rarely comes on your own , bombshell Barbara Windsor (as always with Sid James at her side) has a brief nude appearance again (under the Shower). And this time Windsor didn't have to shoulder this burden alone, Sally Geeson and Gail Grainger also have their short topless appearances.

The German cinema premiere was in 1977, the television premiere on January 1, 1984 on GDR 2 .
