Patsy Rowlands
Patsy Rowlands (born January 19, 1931 in Palmers Green , London , † January 22, 2005 in London) was a British actress .
Life
At the age of 15, Rowlands won a scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London . She made her debut in London's West End in 1958 . Several roles at the Players' Theater followed before she made her film debut in the comedy Over the Odds in 1961 . She became better known in the 1970s for her roles in the British carry-on comedies . In total, she played there in nine films. In addition to her film roles, she continued to take on roles in London theaters, such as in Die Möwe , directed by Lindsay Anderson , and most recently appeared in the musicals Oliver! and My Fair Lady .
Rowlands died of breast cancer on January 22, 2005 at the age of 74 . She leaves a son.
