Didi - The Subtenant (originally Die Nervensäge ) is a German television series in 26 episodes. It ran from 1985 to 1986 on ZDF . As with many other Hallervorden productions, Ralf Gregan was the director .
background
The ZDF initially broadcast the series under the name Die Nervensäge . However, the title later had to be changed due to a legal dispute. The show is based on the BBC series Goodbye, Mr. Kent from 1982, which is based on the Broadway play The Odd Couple by Neil Simon .
content
introduction
In the series Dieter Hallervorden slips into the role of Willi Böck, who annoys his landlady Katharina Keller (played by Hallervordens former wife Rotraud Schindler ) and their daughter Trixi (played by their daughter Nathalie ) and has to worry about every episode, to be put in front of the door by Katharina.
In some episodes Oliver Rohrbeck can be seen, who appears as a friend of Trixi.
procedure
Willi Böck suffers from a notorious shortage of money and is anything but successful as a freelance journalist . That is why he is constantly plagued by worries that he likes to try to wash away with whiskey. Böck also likes to hang around in dubious circles and every now and then owes money to some petty criminal, which often leads to them standing at Katharina's door or sending debt collectors. Especially Gertner, a little mafioso, makes life difficult for Böck. In addition, Willi Böck is passionate about betting, preferably on racehorses, which can cost huge sums of money. In any case, he can seldom pay the rent and it needs the good nature of his landlady or the help of Trixi, with whom he has become friends, in order not to be thrown out. Böck's attempts to marry Katharina Keller or to tie in with her in any other way are equally unsuccessful. These attempts usually fail miserably. Basically, Willi causes chaos in the cellar house; sometimes he opens a French restaurant, which is about to close again, almost blows up half the house with his own schnapps distillery, or rents it out to "friends" to whom he owes money.
At the end of the series, an ex-convict and friend of Willi Böck appears and claims that treasure is buried in the house, whereupon Willi turns the entire property upside down. As it turns out, the whole thing was just an act of revenge, there is no treasure to be found. Katharina and Trixi move out, exasperated. Willi obtained a loan under a false name and bought the house. The irony of the story is that Katharina and Trixi Keller are now moving in as sub-tenants with Willi Böck.
