Klaus-Johannes Rumpf is a German actor and director.

The brother of actor Bernd Rumpf staged in recent years, numerous pieces for various stages and led directing for television . His productions of the plays Die Feuerzangbowle and Hochzeit bei Zickenschulze for the TheaterGemeinde Berlin were each chosen for the performance of the year. Rumpf directed the Hansa Theater in Berlin for several years.

From time to time he worked with his wife, the writer and former actress Sabine Thiesler (-Rumpf). They staged plays like Berlin Boys or stood in front of the camera as lovers in an episode of Dieter Hallervorden's successful series Didi - The Subtenant .

In 2005 he took over the management of the Hasselbach Theater (Taunus) for Willi Messinger .

Rumpf lives with his wife in Tuscany .
