Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or is located north of Lyon at the southern foot of the Mont d'Or . It is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Poleymieux-au-Mont-d'Or and Saint-Romain-au-Mont-d'Or in the north, Collonges-au-Mont-d'Or in the east, the ninth arrondissement of Lyon in the south as well Saint-Didier-au-Mont-d'Or to the west.
