Orliénas Town Hall

Orliénas is a French commune with a population of 2,444 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Administratively, the municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lyon and is part of the canton of Saint-Symphorien-d'Ozon (until 2015: canton of Mornant ). The inhabitants are called Orliénasiens .

geography

Orliénas is located about 15 kilometers southwest of Lyon at the southern foot of the Monts du Lyonnais of the Massif Central . The small rivers Merdanson and Casamona cross the parish. The neighboring communities of Orliénas are Soucieu-en-Jarrest in the north and west, Brignais in the northeast, Vourles in the east, Taluyers in the south and Saint-Laurent-d'Agny in the southwest.
