The canton of Saint-Symphorien-d'Ozon is a French constituency in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It comprises twelve municipalities in the Arrondissement of Lyon and has its main town (French:  bureau centralisateur ) in Saint-Symphorien-d'Ozon . It was slightly enlarged in 2015 as a result of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons.

Until the reorganization, the canton of Saint-Symphorien-d'Ozon included the 10 communities Chaponnay , Communay , Marennes , Mions (now part of the Métropole de Lyon ), Saint-Pierre-de-Chandieu , Saint-Symphorien-d'Ozon , Simandres , Sérézin-du-Rhône , Ternay and Toussieu . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​123.59 km ² . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 6938, and until the creation of the Métropole de Lyon it belonged to the Arrondissement of Lyon .
