The Canton Limonest was 2015 a French canton in the arrondissement of Lyon in the region Rhône-Alpes . It originally belonged to the Département Rhône and was abolished when the Métropole de Lyon replaced the Département Rhône as the higher regional authority in its capital Limonest and other municipalities at the turn of the year 2014/2015 and the canton lost its function as an electoral district. The last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Max Vincent, he succeeded Muguette Dini ( UDF , term of office 1994–2008).
