The canton of Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon was by 2015 a French canton in the arrondissement of Lyon and the region Rhône-Alpes . It originally belonged to the Rhône department and had its main town in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon . The canton was abolished when, at the turn of the year 2014/2015 , the Métropole de Lyon replaced the Département Rhône as the superordinate regional authority of its two member municipalities and the cantons lost their function as constituencies. The last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Jean-Paul Delorme ( UMP ).
