The Canton Décines-Charpieu was a 2015 French canton in the arrondissement of Lyon in the department of Rhone region Rhône-Alpes , its main town was Décines-Charpieu . It was abolished when the Métropole de Lyon replaced the Département Rhône as the superordinate regional authority in two of the three member municipalities and the cantons lost their function as constituencies. The last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Jérôme Sturla ( PS ), followed by Jacques Paoli ( UMP ).
