The canton of Tassin-la-Demi-Lune was a French canton in the Arrondissement of Lyon and in the Rhône-Alpes region until 2015 . It originally belonged to the Rhône department and had its main town in Tassin-la-Demi-Lune . The canton was abolished when the Métropole de Lyon replaced the Département Rhône as the higher-level regional authority in its catchment area at the turn of the year 2014/2015 and the cantons lost their function as constituencies. His last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Pascal Charmot ( UMP ).
