The District of Saint-Priest was 2015 a French canton in the arrondissement of Lyon and the region Rhône-Alpes . It originally belonged to the Rhône department and consisted of the city of Saint-Priest . The canton was abolished when the Métropole de Lyon replaced the Département Rhône as the higher-level regional authority in its catchment area at the turn of the year 2014/2015 and the cantons lost their function as constituencies. His last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Evelyne Fontaine ( PS ), she succeeded Bruno Polga (also PS, term of office 1985-2011).
