The canton of Saint-Symphorien-sur-Coise was 2015 a French canton in the department of Rhone region Rhône-Alpes . It originally belonged to the arrondissement of Lyon and its main town was in Saint-Symphorien-sur-Coise . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. Today the municipalities are part of the canton of Vaugneray and the arrondissements of Villefranche-sur-Saône . His last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Maurice Cellier ( UDF ).
