The canton Écully was a French canton until 2015 , which at the time was part of the arrondissement of Lyon and the department of Rhône in the Rhône-Alpes region . It was abolished when the Métropole de Lyon replaced the Département Rhône as a regional authority in its catchment area and the cantons lost their function as constituencies. The canton comprised three communities, its main town was Écully .
