Sérézin-du-Rhône is about 15 kilometers south of Lyon on the Rhone , into which the ozone flows here. Sérézin-du-Rhône is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Solaize in the north, Saint-Symphorien-d'Ozon in the east, Communay in the southeast, Ternay in the south and Vernaisson in the west and northwest.
The A7 autoroute runs through the municipality .
