geography
Saint-Laurent-de-Mure is about 19 kilometers southeast of Lyon . Saint-Laurent-de-Mure is surrounded by the neighboring communities Colombier-Saugnieu in the north and northeast, Satolas-et-Bonce in the east, Grenay in the southeast, Saint-Pierre-de-Chandieu in the south and southwest and Saint-Bonnet-de- Mudslides in the west and northwest.
The A43 and A432 autoroute as well as the former Route nationale 6 run through the municipality . Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport borders the municipality northeast of Saint-Laurent-de-Mure .
history
During the French Revolution , the name of the village was Mure-la-Fontaine . The municipality has been part of the Rhône department since 1967, previously it was part of the Isère department .
