Sainte-Consorce is located about ten kilometers west-northwest of Lyon at the foot of the Monts du Lyonnais . Sainte-Consorce is surrounded by Lentilly in the north, Marcy-l'Étoile in the east and northeast, Tassin-la-Demi-Lune in the east, Saint-Genis-les-Ollières in the southeast, Grézieu-la-Varenne in the south and Pollionnay in the West.
The commune belongs to the Coteaux du Lyonnais wine-growing region .
