Saint-Laurent-d'Agny is located about 17 kilometers southwest of Lyon in the Monts du Lyonnais of the Massif Central . The small river Le Grand Val limits the municipality to the southwest. The neighboring municipalities of Saint-Laurent-d'Agny are Soucieu-en-Jarrest in the north and northeast, Orliénas in the east and northeast, Taluyers in the east, Beauvallon in the southeast, Mornant in the south and Chaussan in the west and southwest.
