geography
Cailloux-sur-Fontaines is about eleven kilometers north-northeast of the city center of Lyon . Cailloux-sur-Fontaines is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fleurieu-sur-Saône in the north and north-west, Montanay in the north, Mionnay in the north-east, Miribel in the east, Rillieux-la-Pape in the south-east, Sathonay-Village in the south and Fontaines-Saint- Martin in the west and southwest.
The A432 autoroute runs along the eastern edge of the municipality .
history
Until the French Revolution , the place was called Notre-Dame-de-Fontaines . In the meantime he was given the name Cailloux-la-Montagne . Since 1795 the place has been led by its current name.
