Eva Brummer
Eva Ester Brummer (born March 13, 1901 in Tampere , † June 28, 2007 in Espoo ) was a Finnish textile artist .
Life
Brummer dedicated himself to the production of the traditional Scandinavian pile rugs Ryen . She designed textiles for church purposes. For the Friends of Finnish Handicraft Association , she first designed traditional ryen , including floor carpets. In later times she developed picturesque Ryen , often using dark tones and many shades.
For her work she received various prizes at international design exhibitions. Her works are now in many museum collections.
