Chabanière is a commune in the French department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs there to the canton of Mornant in the arrondissement of Lyon . On January 1, 2014, 4086 inhabitants were counted in what was later to become the municipality marker. Chabanière was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2017 by decree of October 4, 2016 by merging Saint-Didier-sous-Riverie , Saint-Maurice-sur-Dargoire and Saint-Sorlin .
