Saint-Sorlin is a commune Déléguée in the French community Chabanière with 575 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes .

With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Saint-Didier-sous-Riverie , Saint-Maurice-sur-Dargoire and Saint-Sorlin were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Chabanière. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The commune of Saint-Didier-sous-Riverie was part of the arrondissement of Lyon and the canton of Mornant .
