Brignais is a French municipality with 11,434 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Lyon and the Canton of Brignais .

During the Hundred Years War , Brignais was the site of the Battle of Brignais between the royal army and the Grandes Compagnies .

Town twinning
