Curis-au-Mont-d'Or is a banlieue about 13 kilometers north of the city center of Lyon on the western bank of the Saône . Curis-au-Mont-d'Or is surrounded by the neighboring communities Neuville-sur-Saône in the north and northeast, Albigny-sur-Saône in the east, Couzon-au-Mont-d'Or in the south, Poleymieux-au-Mont- d'Or in the southwest and Saint-Germain-au-Mont-d'Or in the west.
