Corbas is a French municipality with 11,050 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Métropole de Lyon in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The inhabitants call themselves Corbasiens . Corbas belonged to the canton of Saint-Fons until 2015 .

The community is located around ten kilometers south-southeast of Lyon. Corbas is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Vénissieux in the north-west and north, Saint-Priest in the north and north-east, Mions in the east, Chaponnay in the south-east, Marennes in the south, Saint-Symphorien-d'Ozon in the south-west and Feyzin in the west.
