Vourles is a French municipality with 3411 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Lyon and the Canton of Brignais . The inhabitants are called Vourlois (es) .
geography
Vourles is located in the southwest of Lyon on the Garon River . Vourles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brignais in the north, Saint-Genis-Laval in the northeast, Irigny in the east, Charly in the south and southeast, Millery in the south, Montagny in the southwest and Orliénas in the west and northwest.
Vourles is located in the Coteaux du Lyonnais wine region . The A450 autoroute runs along the northern municipal boundary .
