Chassagny is a commune Déléguée in the French community Beauvallon with 1,318 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes .

On January 1, 2018, Chassagny was merged with the municipalities of Saint-Andéol-le-Château and Saint-Jean-de-Touslas to form the municipality ( Commune nouvelle ) Beauvallon. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Chassagny belonged to the arrondissement of Lyon and the canton of Saint-Symphorien-d'Ozon .
