Andreas Hanft

Andreas Hanft , pseudonym Andreas Berg , also Andreas Berg-Hanft (born July 6, 1932 in Brandenburg an der Havel ; † July 1, 1996 ) was a German news anchor , actor , radio play and voice actor .

Life

Andreas Hanft, son of the regional church warden and organist at St Katharinen Walter Hanft, went to West Berlin in 1950 . After completing his acting studies, he started working for the RIAS as a news anchor in 1956 . In order to protect his family, which might have got into trouble under the GDR's anti-RIAS propaganda, he worked in this position under the alias Andreas Berg . He practiced this profession until the end of the RIAS in 1992 and shortly thereafter also with its successor DeutschlandRadio Berlin , before he died shortly after he retired.

Hanft also worked as an actor in various television productions, such as B. in some episodes of the crime series Tatort , in several films or in productions by and with Didi Hallervorden .

As a voice actor he appeared in several recurring roles in series, such as for Maurice Fields in The Flying Doctors , for Charles Hallahan in Hunter or for David White in In Love with a Witch , but also in films to which The Powers of Madness , It was count once in America and Kiss of Death . Andreas Hanft became known to children primarily through his voice, which he lent to the police chief in the radio play series Benjamin Blümchen and Bibi Blocksberg .
