Dakin Matthews
Dakin Matthews (born November 7, 1940 in Oakland , California ) is an American actor . He has made many appearances in film, television (for example on Gilmore Girls and Desperate Housewives ) and in the theater. He also works as a dramaturge , director and theater scholar.
Life
Matthews studied from 1960 to 1963 in the Vatican , where he obtained a degree in theology . After that he worked as a teacher for some time. Matthews is a founding member of the John Houseman's Acting Company . He married actress and director Anne McNaughton and they have four children. Today he works full-time as an actor and lives with his wife in Los Angeles .
Since 1985, Dakin Matthews has worked in more than 160 film and television productions. Mainly he appears in television series as a guest actor.
