occupation

Revenge According to the Plan is an American crime series that was produced in a 16-episode season and aired on ABC from September 1998 to February 1999 . The TV series starred Michael Madsen , who played Mr. Chapel, a mysterious and pragmatic character who gave people justice that they couldn't get in court. The plot is based on a similar concept to the television series The Equalizer - The Guardian Angel of New York . The television series was originally broadcast in the United States on Thursday evenings in competition with the high-audience sitcoms by NBC , Friends and Jesse . The German first broadcast took place on November 2, 1999 on ProSieben . The series was later repeated on Tele 5 .

action

When Mr. Chapel takes a case, his claim is easy. Either you pay him $ 1 million or you promise to do him a favor at some point in the future; only then will the debt be paid. In doing so, Mr. Chapel determines the type, time and place of the favor. A running gag when settling the debt of one of Mr. Chapel's previous customers is that Mr. Chapel then says, "We are even. I'm gone from your life forever." And the customer replies, "Thank God!".

In the pilot it becomes clear that Mr. Chapel must have been doing this for a long time because he asked several favors to help his client.

Chapel makes few promises. When he does this, he fulfills it. On one occasion, he handcuffed a man in a car approached by a garbage truck; When the man gives up, Chapel dives into the car from above to open the handcuffs and at the last moment pulls the man to safety.
